  • President: Michael Reichgott

    Michael Reichgott, President

    Michael is a micro-biologist currently teaching at Husson College. He has acted for over 30 years in Upstate New York and Virginia. He has played in several NST productions, including A Funny Thing Happened On The Way to the Forum, Laughter On The 23rd Floor, My Fair Lady and Too Good To Be True.

  • Vice President: Dindy Royster

    Dindy Royster, Vice President

    Dindy was a former Director of Development for the Bay School and Chair of Development of the Peninsula Ambulance Corps and member of its Board of Directors.

  • Treasurer: John Chapin

    John Chapin, Treasurer

    John Chapin is a retired bank executive and former business manager of several restaurant and newspaper businesses and non-profit organizations. The current treasurer of New Surry Theatre, he is delighted to have had the opportunity to act in several of its productions, in addition to working with other area choral and theatrical groups. He lives in Blue Hill with his wife, Dindy Royster, who got him into all this, for which he is insufferably grateful.

  • Secretary: June Knight Carter

    June Knight Carter, Secretary

    June lives in Ellsworth and teaches English for the Onward Program at the University of Maine in Orono. She has been in many NST plays, the most recent My Fair Lady. She has three handsome sons and three beautiful grand-children.

  • Costume, Set and Makeup Designer: Elena Bourakovsky

    Elena Bourakovsky, Costume, Set and Makeup Designer

    Elena worked at the Komedy Theatre in Leningrad, USSR as a professional costume designer. She moved to Maine in 1990 where she taught at UMO. Elena’s professional approach to makeup and costumes make every NST production a memorable work of art.

  • Philip Wick

    Philip Wick

    Pip graduated from Lehigh University then spent twenty years in New York City, mainly as a stockbroker on the floor of the American Stock Exchange trading for Southwest Securities. Following that he worked variously as a boatbuilder, a SCUBA Instructor, president of a environmental group “The “Friends of the Wekiva River” and again as a boatbuilder. He has participated in the NST productions of the “Superman” radio shows. He is a member of the Brooklin Planning Board, and teaches boatbuilding to the seniors of the Brooklin Consolidated School. He is an avid sailor and is a member of the Cruising Club of America, the Storm Trysail Club, the Off Center Harbor Yacht Club, and the Ocean Cruising Club.

  • Rick Doyle

    Rick Doyle

    Rick Doyle is the staff attorney at The Next Step Domestic Violence Project. He is a member of the Maine Commission on Domestic and Sexual Abuse. He is a graduate of Univ. of Maine School of Law and also holds an M.A. in English from the Univ. of Maine. Rick is an award-winning playwright (Regalia) and wrote Too Good To Be True.
